What time We start at 6pm prompt with a light buffet. We end at 9pm.
Who A maximum of ten third sector chairs or vice chairs plus Amanda and Martin. A large enough group to have a breadth of experience in the room and small enough to give everyone a chance to participate.
What The first part of the evening will focus on a topic chosen by the group at the previous meeting. In the second part, the group will focus on your current issues in two smaller groups, facilitated by Amanda and Martin.
Style The style of the meeting will be participatory. No lectures or presentations. The point of Chairtalk is talk things through, explore issues in a collegiate way and be educative and supportive of each other.
Commitment Chairtalk works because you get to know and trust other Chairs. This doesn’t happen overnight, so we ask you to commit to three meetings.
Fee The fee for three meetings is £300 and the full amount is payable in advance. We are able to offer Chairtalk’s 2008 schedule at these fees due to the generous support of Bircham Dyson Bell. Charity Trustee Network members are eligible for a reduced fee of £240 and (for members with who are subscribing to CTNs pay-for benefits package) £210. Don’t let the fee put you off. We are seeking further sponsorship and hope to be able offer free places or places at much reduced cost, so come back to check regularly for an update.
